Meet Dr. Andrews
Dr. Garrett Andrews is a board-certified neuropsychologist. He is the Chief of Staff for Arkansas Neuropsychology & Behavioral Health located at the Arkansas Neuroscience & Research Institute. Additionally, he is the Clinical Director for the Arkansas Brain Injury & Stroke Clinic. He continues to train other providers through the Neuropsychology Clinical Fellowship he provides, as well as, a practicum supervisor for students at the University of Central Arkansas.
He previously served as the Chief of two medical services, Vocational Rehabilitation Service and Neurocognitive Assessment Service, at the Central Arkansas Veterans Hospital. He served as the Director of Training for the APA-accredited Doctoral Internship Program and as the Neuropsychology Fellowship Director, which he founded. Prior to his work at the VA, he was an associate professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and an adjunct faculty member at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock.
Dr. Andrews completed his clinical fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma center in Danville, PA. He has completed specialized training in sports concussion at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Science Center and the Center for Disease concussion program. Additionally, he completed a specialized certification with the Brain Injury Association of America.
He also supports an 80-bed inpatient rehabilitation service that specializes in Brain Injury, Stroke, and Movement Disorders. He holds many medical appointments throughout Central Arkansas. He has presented at seminars, class courses, and international conferences, on many topics involving Brain and Behavior.
